The Professional Development Workshop (PDW)

The Patient Safety Education Project, in conjunction with the Education in Palliative and End-of-life Care (EPEC) project, held a Professional Development Workshop on January 25-26 in Atlanta, GA. Over 40 participants from among the leaders in patient safety attended the training which prepares participants to become candidate Master Facilitators in the programs. The participants were taught adult education principles and techniques, and how to use practice implementation methods in the health care setting. For each of six skills in teaching and practice improvement, participants demonstrated and received feedback on their skills.
