What is an EPEC Trainer? A qualified physician or healthcare professional who has completed a "Become An EPEC Trainer" conference. EPEC Trainer certification is solely issued by the EPEC Project. The EPEC Project has a network of over 1800 EPEC Trainers.

Training tools: Easily adaptable educational materials are available for trainers and attendees. The Trainer's Guide consists of the full EPEC Curriculum and provides instructions, guidelines, trainer's notes, and resources that will help Trainers complete a successful EPEC program. Visit our materials page for a listing of all available EPEC training materials.

Video: The EPEC Project is pleased to present the complete "Become An EPEC Trainer" conference held in March, 2000 in Chicago, Illinois. Video segments are available for Low band (56K dial up modem) or High band (DSL, LAN) download in Windows Media Player format.

Feedback: The EPEC Project requests that trainers complete and submit tracking data and evaluation forms for each EPEC program. Trainers will complete a tracking sheet capturing overall program data and distribute evaluation forms to attendees for completion:

  • A Tracking Sheet summarizing each educational event using the EPEC Curriculum. Download (pdf).
  • Participant Profiles (demographic and other data) Download (pdf).

The following are available in the Trainer's Guide:
  • Pre-Test Data Form - current knowledge of end-of-life care
  • Conference Evaluation - completed after each program session
  • Post-Test Data Form - completed at the conclusion of the program

Trainers, please submit the above by mail. The EPEC Project extends its appreciation to all Trainers for their help in collecting research data.
